ambrotype portraits

I learned the technique of wet plate collodion by myself in 2013. \ambrotype portraits\ was produced about one month during the same year, as chosen for this project to made portraits of people, quite different from the casual everyday mass. These persons live in my home town, Sofia, Bulgaria, some of them are my friends, some I met for the first time, but during the shooting process and waiting to sensitize the collodion emulsion each one of them shared a personal story. Portrait photography is a very intimate moment between the model and the photographer, especially when the model is involved in the photographic process through its peculiarities. This was a conducive provocation for me which upgrade my skills as a photographer and my ability to understand and communicate with people through the photographic medium.
