My work usually revolves around mental health and the struggles people face in dealing with their health. This is shown not only through surrealist subject matters but through the use of dark and often desaturated tones. The majority of my photography is self portrait based as most of my work is very personal to how I feel at the time and is used as a way of expressing myself. With my work I incorporate storytelling elements as I grew up constantly reading fairytales and fantasy literature which has always been another main interest of mine and I believe that photography is another medium to not only comment on the world around us but to also tell stories.
