My photographs are taken at locations where many people randomly cross paths. Places where people are on the move, in transit from A to B, between daily tasks, or just waiting. Despite being within a crowd, the people are preoccupied with themselves and not conscious of being observed.
The incidental nature of these moments, allows me to take photographs without being detected. There is no obvious point in the image as such. What concerns me the most, is the fact that the coincidental constellation of persons in a particular scene is not repeatable. It is something absolutely unique at one point. I think this transience of a moment and the hope of the people is what moves me. Something fateful, something very simple or universal, which unify us all. This series was taken at Berlin - Alexanderplatz, next to Primark, an international textile discounter.
