This collection of images is from a personal project entitled, ‘All Creatures Great & Small’.
This project was inspired by a quote from A.A. Milne: "Some people talk to animals. Not many listen though.”
We live in a time that is experiencing the worst case of species extinction since the loss of the dinosaurs. Unlike previous mass extinctions which have been caused by nature, current mass extinction is caused by us - humans. Ninety-nine percent of the species currently threatened are at risk as a result of human activities, including habitat loss, introduction of exotic species and global warming.
Each of these images were shot in a studio against a white background. With each animal I photograph, I look to capture its individual beauty. My goal is to create images that speak to people and in turn, I hope to inspire them to do what they can to assist in the conservation of the many endangered animals around the world.
