I've been living as an expat near Delhi for the past twelve months. My first contact with Old Delhi was one of shock an awe, but latter a deep sense of curiosity and admiration for the area grew in me. The region is probably the most unique place I have ever visited. In it's mains roads and narrow lanes, many shops and small business thrive. Different religions coexist in harmony. Early morning quietness transforms in a noisy congested chaos as people wake up and the shops open their doors. Since my first visit there I was mesmerized by the life style of the people and how they go about their daily deeds. This images were collected in the past year during visits I make almost weekly to the area. I found it very difficult to summarise the complexity and uniqueness of Old Delhi in only ten images. I hope this photographs can convey to the viewers the admiration and appreciation that I have for this incredible part of the Indian Capital.
