Solitary Road

We heard a story about a completely isolated road in the middle of the wilderness, across Lake Torneträsk in the very northern part of Sweden. We heard tales of rusty, old car wrecks who travelled along the lonesome road. Car wrecks that had been shipped across the frozen lake ages ago, and still served as transportation between five unknown villages within Talma Sámi Community: Salmi, Kortolahti, Lattilahti, Kattuvuoma och Laimo. A 20 km long route, with a beginning and an end, but no connection to other roads. Is this where time has stood still? Or is it the outside world that drives too fast?
