All That Glitters Is Not Gold

These images where taken on a recent trip to Dubai. They represent to me the other side of the general images you normally see of Dubai and surrounding areas, all shiny, modern and very affluent, having worked in the middle east i know that under the surface it is not quite so pleasant for many of the workers. I wanted to make a series that that would reflect this by showing an the city in a slightly dystopain way but still paying some kind of homage to the amazing engineering and huge structures and they had built in such an unforgiving environment.
