Kaukovainio 2017, Oulu, Finland. A piece from my long-term project titled "Kaukovainio". Kaukovainio is a typical finnish small city's suburb surrounded by forest. Nobody is born into a void, and nobody leaves a void in the world when departing from it. We are all part of a community. But what is the meaning of the places we live in in the narratives of our lives?
