Panni

My work is about memories. I collected some clothes that were hidden at the back of my cabinet. I didn't used them since years but I wasn't able to throw them as they carried too many memories. I asked my best friends (those who literally stepped into my shoes) to wear those clothes and I took them a portrait, at a place of their choice. Later I gave them the dress. Before the shooting I took a picture of the dress as a representation of my self portrait. Furthermore some of the people I photographed, wrote a text, a poem, a recipe or simply a short note, which I edited in a publication that mimic a magazine. The publication is currently in Italian but I am going to translate it. All photographs are taken with an old second hand Hasselblad. The title of the work is "Panni", which in Italian means "clothes".
