Sometimes is easier to see each image as a chance encounter of my camera with the light; just a way of immortalizing moments that otherwise will be forever lost. However, after all these years the results never cease to amaze me. I have had the honor to photograph people from all sorts of life, a myriad of crafts that faintly define the individuals behind them. I feel humbled by the experience, and genuinely understand that is not my place to tell their stories. They tell their own stories, with the faceless imprint in their creation, the relentless strength of their muscles, their courage in seamlessly defying gravity, their determination regardless of the immensity of their task, and their audacity in exposing themselves without reservations. They each unveil part of their inner identity with their poise, their resourcefulness, their intriguing smiles, their attention to detail, or the resolve of their commitment. Each one of their souls tell their own story, and it is my privilege to give them light.
