Epidermis

Caatinga, Brazilian drylands, is the epidermis of Earth. The place where the sertanejo people, cattle raisers from the dry backlands, set a dialogue with death. The lack of water, the dazzling sunlight and the heat provoque mirages. Between reality and hallucination, the photographer follows the path of the wilderness and the trails of death. He captures symbols and presents them as a complaint about the recurrent lack of solutions to the problem of the draught, intensified by the global warming.
