"Drag" is an exploration of gender identity, performance art, and documentation. The Drag Kings pictured are a tight knit group of New York City based underground performers, activists, and non-conformists. This particular group of images were designed to show case the intricate details of make-up, hair, and wardrobe that are used to transform into multiple personas. That said, the series as a whole continues to expand and develop into a larger body of work including both staged and candid images and will continue to morph as we work together to uncover their story.
