The faces you see are people who have caught my eye for various, sometimes unknown reasons, maybe for just a moment. It is about the element of human uniqueness.
Some are people I know and love; some are people I encountered once, some I know their names and others I don’t. However, the thread that joins them is not just that they are faces of humans, but at the moment I snapped that shutter, there was a connection, a relatedness that perhaps lasted an instant, sometimes more. There are a few where I feel I can watch glimpses of their soul. Some of these people never knew I clicked my shutter and captured a moment of them.
Shooting with my iPhone allows me to connect more easily. People seem to be less intimidated than by someone with a big camera and a zoom lens. Because the iPhone has a minimal zoom, it requires much closer contact than a traditional camera with a big lens.
