Through your eyes I see universe

Our eyes meet and we are sitting opposite each other for twenty minutes, looking into the eyes of one another, meditating together in silence. The boundary between us is erased. The large format camera is next to me, to the left, and sometimes during the meditation I take a polaroid, but the one portrayed is unaware of when. An attempt to capture that which is behind the mask. A need to understand the greater picture. The portrayed live and work at Yandara Yoga Institute in Mexico. They work as yoga teachers, reiki masters, astrologers, musicians etc. This project is photographed during the winters of 2017 and 2018. Together with the portraits there is also a number of recorded guided meditations, mantras and music with the participants.
