I am a global citizen. I was born in Wagga Wagga, Australia but grew up in Southern African countries Swaziland and Zimbabwe. My time on the planet has fostered a diverse mix of skills, studies and experiences that coalesces ins my imagination and make its way into artwork that are usually scenographic and costumed performances for the camera lens. These works are samples from larger bodies that variously probe mythology and macro and micro relationships between physical and symbolic systems. I am particularly interested in the shifting ground of mythologies, their disparities, values, histories and the very ‘real’ realities they bare. Growing up between the continents of Africa and Australia enhanced an awareness that there are 2 sides to every coin. In making art I hope to prod at the non verbal assumptions that carry the currents of the paradigms we live by in a connected planet.
