This group of photographs (all 42” x 63” prints flush-mounted on aluminum) is part of a project started in 2014.
It is inspired by the non-cultural world; that is, the photographs make no reference to personalities, politics, ideas or concepts. It is non-narational,
does not reference an event outside itself, nor explain anything.
As far as I know, it is not gender-related.
The subject matter of these photographs is the daily mortal struggle for life, reduced to its structure, which reveals the strategies and experiences, as diagrams, of the attempts of organisms to remain alive.
It is of nature, not culture. More to the point, it is about the nature of nature.
