Submission EMERGING TALENT 2018

These selections are from my ongoing always-looking-seeing curious life. I look for anomalies in the landscape of my world and daily travels. I often work in series but they never end so all are of a piece and from my mind's eye. One collection is called Anomalies and Conundrums which includes many from my Drive-By images. I shoot from a moving car any day I'm in one and in my yard or house any other day. I look for elements that work together in a balanced (to me) composition that suggest a story or beg a question or offer a surprise. Color has always been paramount but they often work in black and white as well. Lately I alter most images to be more like 'paintings' leaving the old purist modes of not altering, to create what I most want to see. Or say.
