FIRST, I want to say, these 3 images are individual submissions and are not all part of the same series. "Rabbit 1", follows a series on birds that were found dead in the Chicago area within a mile of my loft. That series is called "The Trouble with Birds." These birds died from collisions with windows most probably, often at the moment they caught their food-an insect of some kind. "Rabbit 1" will be included in a new series called "Nature Decides." "Woman in Clouds" is part of a new series started after my move to Florida this past May. The clouds here are amazingly full of drama especially during the rainy season. As a child, I imagined that I might be able to play in the clouds and most importantly, lay on a cloud, make a cloud pillow and if chilly, pull up a cloud comforter. Since we are now destroying our beautiful earth with little time to reverse things, where will we live? This is the title of this series, "If not here, where?" I have placed people doing ordinary things in the clouds, with imagined childlike possibilities of life in the clouds (or Cloud). The final image "Ladder at 15,000 Feet" was taken on Mont Blanc in France and I was very interested in the surreal aspect to this scene. It will be included in "Surreal Landscapes." I am an artist who uses photography as my medium for my ideas and statements, not blatant activism but there, nonetheless. Thank you for your comments and time viewing my work.
