“Reality offers us such wealth that we must cut some of it out on the spot, simplify. The question is, do we always cut out what we should?” legendary photographer Henri Cartier Bresson once said. That question of perspective, what to include and what to omit, is the most fundamental one faced by photographers. To capture wild animals in their full dignity, not as plaques on walls but as living, breathing beings it is imperative to consider the perspective which most forcefully conveys a moment and feeling. This set of photographs seeks to demonstrate the wealth of perspectives that tell the story of each of these unique species, from the most intimate of expressions to their interaction with the environment at large.
