I have followed in Vincent van Gogh's footsteps to the places where he lived and where nature inspired his paintings. From the windmills in Holland to the sunflowers in Provence, I have stood where he stood, seen what he saw, and sensed his visual stimulus. Black and white was chosen for the essay, as Vincent, in his paintings of these subjects, provides the color. Vincent van Gogh is the most known painter in the world, not only for his art but for his writings that give a glimpse into the beauty, emotional honesty and passion of this man who felt and loved so deeply. In my work, I wish to honor his humanity. (Each image references a painting or drawing by Van Gogh.)
