'St. Nick's'

A magical Sugar Hill jazz place, which hardly changed since 1940s, until it was closed down in 2012! The photographs in this series try to bring the feel of the place for both the former frequenters and the uninitiated. I tried to reach out to the viewers, at the same time being utterly personal, while choosing the frames. The photos try to capture the smell, the tonal nuances and the transtemporality of this place that I loved.
