‘I am my home.’
Conceived and initiated in 2016, “Things Unsettled” is a series of picture
narratives of imaginary stories of loss, yearning, serenity and loneliness –
scenes of everyday life that could well have been extracted from the reels of a film. Our refuge, our true home is an inner state of mind unconsciously
shaped and defined by memories. In these photographs, the leading
characters pose before the lens – their vulnerability captured in a single
moment that freezes within a “click” of the camera. It all evokes times
bygone and people gone – all those who left an indelible mark on our past
to haunt our present. Light and shade interweave, exposing the figures in
all their frail duality.
