To create this portfolio, I asked my daughter Ingeborg to be a model for me. The shots were performed in a handcrafted studio, built at home. The lighting has been from time to time natural (e.g., window with white transparent curtain), artificial (flash) or mixed. I used, as usual, a uniform backdrop of black fabric. I let the model move in the set without giving her particular instructions, except to try to ignore my presence and to turn (in some postures) the face towards the camera, but avoiding looking into the camera. The short portfolio includes 10 shots, chosen from over 150 performed during different sessions. I show them in B & W, which I prefer for the studio portrait; I believe that the colour, which I am not prejudicially opposed to, is more suitable for an outdoor portrait.
