Samet Durgun is a self-taught photographer. Born in Turkey, he survives and thrives in Berlin, the city that offers a peaceful and creative environment. Durgun’s queer identity mixes the eastern mysticism and western freedom in his works.
Samet was bullied and had difficulty realizing and thriving in his queer power growing up, which authentically contributed in his aspiration to be actively engaged in Female & LGBTQIA+ issues and to empower such underrepresented and historically excluded communities. He currently assists Maria Marshall and works on his personal project.
