Samet Durgun is a self-taught photographer and artist, born in Turkey of Abkhazian(Caucasus) descent. His work explores the relationship between the beauty and toxic masculinity within historically oppressed communities such as female and queer. He is known for his finely detailed, saturated, high-contrast work. His photographic mission is to unearth and uplift the power of diverse communities with realistic and inclusive visual stories. For Samet, beauty is to feel comfortable with oneself and it radiates within. In defining beauty this way, inclusivity comes to his photos naturally. He currently lives and thrives in Berlin.
