About Saskia Howard

Saskia Howard was born in the north of England in 1968. It is that desolate, wild landscape of moors and jagged coastline that has made such an impact on her life and work as an artist.

She studied fine art and photography at York College of Art, but dropped out to run away to London and pursue a career in theatre design.

After several years working in London's burgeoning fring theatre circuit, and exploring the infamous high fashion Soho club scene of the early '90's, she moved to Sydney.

Working across film, digital and mobile photography, Saskia's recent work has featured in many online street photography groups. She was part of the globally successful 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Instragram event The 24hr Project and has received honourable mentions in the 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Mobile Photo Awards.
