I was born in 1973 in a small provincial town in Belgium. After my studies as a translator, I felt the need to study something creative. I enrolled in film school and that's where I first got in touch with photography.
After all that studying, life took me in many directions. I worked for TV, theater and advertising, started traveling, became a scuba instructor and that is when it happened...
I'd always been attracted to water, but only when I started diving the Waterlust was born. Waterlust is that irrepressible desire to constantly be in or near water.
At a certain point, I decided to start taking a professional camera down with me.
Initially, I just wanted people to show the beauty of a coral reef. Today, my one and only goal is to create awareness. If the world keeps on turning as it does, ninety percent of our coral reefs will be extinguished by 2030. Coral reefs are the core of intricate food chains.
No reefs, no fish.
