I am originally from Düsseldorf/Germany. I have studied photography and design at the University of Applied Science Dortmund and the Beijing Film Academy. Living, working and growing in China since 2006 I look through a multicultural lens.
Life and humanness serve as my inspiration. It’s the experience that life brings us, emotions and stories, that I observe and strive to capture with my work.
Derived from personal challenges by the events that life brings me, I take an investigative, rather anthropological and since 2017 maybe even a therapeutic approach to preserve, share and free myself and others through grounding in the believe of our interconnectedness.
I strive to use the medium of photography beyond being a pure documenting tool, but as a tool to mirror and to raise awareness.
