By definition, I am a Fashion Stylist and Crowd Costume Supervisor with a 20-year career in the Film Industry; art and design both common threads throughout my life. My tertiary education began in Interior Design followed by three years of Fashion Design. Although briefly branching into Unit + Locations, Production and 2nd AD, my area of expertise lies in the Film Industry Costume Department.
My love for photography was ignited decades ago, yet it was only when gifted with my first DSLR camera in August 2019, did my passion become my reality. My love for all things crazy and complex is balanced by an equal love of structure and simplicity. I am fascinated by the human psyche, by what makes us tick. A story told through eyes in portraiture or spontaneously capturing the unexpected in street photography, are both food for my soul. I am driven by moments that stir something deep within. Often, I cannot explain the impulsive need to shoot or write. I just know and feel I must. Whether playing with words, creating through imagery, storytelling, or documenting; all are a means of catharsis for me.
A great passion is working on projects related to humanitarian and social issues. I would like to use my work to try to make a difference in the lives of those who do not have a voice. Exposing and initiating change through visuals and text. I believe this is how I can best action the philosophy of “pay it forward".
