Pépé Matos Viera de Villa Winter @ Cofete - Fuerte Venturas

Villa Winter is a villa situated near the village Cofete, on the peninsula Jandía in the southwestern part of the island of Fuerteventura, Canary Islands. The villa was realised by Gustav Winter, a German engineer. The villa is built in a remote part of the island with only a dust track leading to it. The history of the villa is the subject of several conspiracy theories, often involving Nazis. Today it is inhabited by Pépé Agustin Matos Viera who lives here his whole live and his cousin Pedro Fumero, who's trying to keep the memory alive and lives on the gifts of visitors who visit the Casa Winter. https://casawinter.com/en/pedro-fumero-2 http://gran-canaria-actueel.jouwweb.nl/geschiedenis/canarias-en-de-tweede-wereldoorlog/villa-winter

He enriched his artistic experience by an additional six years in photography school: PCVO-Lokeren. A professional engineer and entrepreneur, he spends most of his time doing portraits: fashion, sports, concerts and many other things. That thing that keeps you awake

With all our heart and soul we do believe in the magic of analog instant film slowly developing in the palm of your hand. Do not "shake it like a Polaroid picture" but wait gently and patiently until the picture apears. All we used was a batch of expired instant “Impossible” film, a selfmade pinhole Polaroid camera and a lot of time. Nothing is Impossible untill you stop trying! No living things are used nor abused, all models were prepared dolls. Plenty of advantages, they can stay still for houres in the same bizarre position and don’t “#me-too” you. But nothing is what it seems. Long live the Pindolls!

The yellow vests movement or yellow jackets movement (French: Mouvement des gilets jaunes, is a populist, grassroots political movement for economic justice that began in France in 2018. After an online petition posted in May had attracted nearly a million signatures, mass demonstrations began on 17 November. The movement is motivated by rising fuel prices, high cost of living, and claims that a disproportionate burden of the government's tax reforms were falling on the working and middle classes, especially in rural and peri-urban areas. The protesters have called for lower fuel taxes, reintroduction of the solidarity tax on wealth, a minimum wage increase, the implementation of Citizens' initiative referendums and Emmanuel Macron's resignation as President of France. The movement spans the political spectrum. According to one poll, few of those protesting had voted for Macron in the 2017 French presidential election, and many had either not voted, or had voted for far-right or far-left candidates. Rising fuel prices initially sparked the demonstrations, and yellow high-visibility vests, which French law required all drivers to have in their vehicles and to wear during breakdowns or other emergencies, were chosen as a symbol for their convenience, visibility, and ubiquity. The protests have involved demonstrations and the blocking of roads and fuel depots. Some of the protests developed into major riots, described as the most violent since those of May 1968. Since the French yellow vests or Gilet jaunes movement has gained international attention, protesters—some with similar grievances and others entirely unrelated—have used the yellow vest symbol in many places around the world. dixit Lensculture : "Yes, I like this work as well as the political message that is carrying. I checked each picture in separate and I can say that all of them are great and some are outstanding. You have a strong and organized sense of composition, and despite the fact that all frames are overpopulated, there is no sign of confusion or distraction. Every single component in a frame seems to have the appropriate place inside, therefore the work as a whole delivers its message directly leaving no gaps."

Andres the Caveman

Meet Andres....the caveman : until 4 years ago social worker counseling drug addicts on Tenerife .... until it all has become too much .... lives since then on Gran Canaria in a cave on a difficult to reach and remote beach. He lives with what the sea gives him and the few visitors to the beach leave him ... for me that man is richer than Bill Gates.... my most difficult assignment is him deliver the prints of his photos because the postman does not pass his cave !! By the way, his cave is a surplus of a harbor about 100 years ago ... when the road was broken and it was no longer (or difficult) to reach ... it is just deserted ... the sea slowly but certainly takes everything back! Dixit Lensculture : "The photographer Paul Strand said, "Portrait is a photo of someone you do not know, but you will never forget". Of course, this is the value of every photograph but for sure is the value of your pictures here. Andres is not someone that you will forget. It’s a wonderful, original and genuine work. Your pictures show a good eye for composition. When I'm looking at a single photograph or a project, I'm always looking for those features that will make their viewing experience unique and your project includes many of those features. You combine powerful photographic qualities into your photos, such as efficient lighting, interesting perspective, strong composition, intriguing subject matter and alluring aesthetics and you create a strong work. Also your black and white is very effective. Technically there is not much to suggest as your images demonstrate great ability and confidence. I particularly like when all of the elements come together to make the picture complete. This happens best when the, framing, subject and light combine into a single strong photograph. Their viewing it's unique and an experience for the viewer. The most important is that they have an emotional impact and that you tell a story. The construction of a series is very difficult because is not only how good are your pictures but how those pictures will put together in order to form a narrative and here you have done great work."

Notre Sien - Hariban

Notre Sien. Our Own. Everything passes, everything comes. Which is why we're living here, in this world where things are continually damaged. Everything changes but there will always be something of what has happened. In the end everything will be fine, otherwise it is not the end. Sure, everything is ending, but not yet.
