Biography
Diego Aráoz – 1978 - Tucumán - Argentina
Graphic Reporter (ARGRA 2051), photo-documentalist, collector of photos and independent curator. Currently part of the staff of photography of the Tucuman newspaper, LA GACETA.
Was a teacher in the photography course of the Faculty of Arts of the State University of Tucumán.
Editor of the digital magazine of journalistic chronicles TUCUMAN ZETA.
Studied archaeology and photography at the State University of Tucuman (Universidad Nacional de Tucuman).
He carried out archaeological studies in the UNT (State University of Tucumán) publishing works of investigation and site studies that include the yungas (warm valleys) of Tucumán, Salta and Jujuy, sites with cave paintings in Patagonia and excavations in the puna (High Andean mountain) of Catamarca, among other archaeological sites of Argentina.
During eight years he was part of the team of auxiliary scientists of the Astronomic Observatory of Ampimpa where he carried out activities linked to astronomy, geology, archaeology and biology.
He has upgraded his knowledge of photography by participating in the workshops of Fred Ritchin; Fredi Casco; Juan Travnik; Santiago Porter, Julio Pantoja and Gabriel Varsanyi; Alfredo Srur; Elda Harrington; Piroska Csuri; Martín Acosta; Abel Alexander; Darío Albornoz, Ramón Teves and Solana Peña Lasalle. At present he is taking part in a workshop on ways to by Annanké Assef.
